We Are Meant to Be BlessedBy Todd Bentley

We Are Meant to Be Blessed

we need to recognize that although curses can and do affect our lives, God wants us to become free from all curses so we can receive His blessings. He is a good God whose greatest desire is to see us blessed. We are the seed of Abraham (Gal. 3:16), and God promised Abraham and his seed many blessings. These blessings of Abraham have been handed down to us through the generations weve inherited them.

God first promised to make Abrahams name great (Gen. 12:2). In fact, God changed Abrahams name from Abram (a high father) to Abraham (the father of a multitude). A great name speaks of a good reputation and Gods exaltation (favor). For example, when we are in favor with God, many will call upon us.

God also promised that we would experience fruitfulness

(Deut. 28:4, 5). When our lives or ministries are fruitful, we can expect abundance, revival, harvest, and a multitude of salvations and healings.

Abraham became wealthy in gold and livestock. God gave Abraham prosperity The LORD has blessed my master greatly, and he has become great; and He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys (Gen. 24:35). The blessings were passed on to Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph because in Abraham all the families of the earth shall be blessed (Gen. 12:3). As we prosper abundantly, we have money or goods to give away to those in need. If we want to be a blessing, we need to be blessed!

Expect victory! God will deliver our enemies into our hands (Gen. 14:20) as He did for Abraham. God wants to bless us with an overcoming, conquering life.

The most exciting blessing of all is the promise of Gods presence.

When God appeared to Isaac and promised to fulfill His oath to Abraham, He said, I will be with you (Gen. 26:3). It is also what God is saying to you and me. It is the promise of the presence of God. God later revealed Himself to Jacob as the God of Abraham, saying, Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go (Gen. 28:15). God promised His manifest presence to His people

If youre feeling defeated, live in lack or poverty, or you are unfruitful, first recognize that you are not experiencing the promised blessings of Abraham. It is Gods will that all prosper and be in health (3 John 1:2). We have been redeemed from the curse of the law to receive the blessing of Abraham (Gal. 3:6-18): favor, fruitfulness, prosperity, victory, and His wonderful presence!

Ensure you dont miss any of the blessings God has for your life or ministry. Review the curses in this section and prayerfully repent where you need to. Then break off any curses the Lord reveals to you and receive by faith the blessings of Abraham.

In Him,

SOW INTO GOOD GROUND TODAY

This coming year the opportunity to sow into a great harvest is massive! We have many conferences, schools, evangelistic crusades, feeding programs, pastoral equipping schools, an orphanage partnership, a safe water distribution program and a cholera & sanitation education project. Dozens of outreaches are planned in some of the poorest communities on earth, including slums, shanty towns, refugee and displacement camps and very poor hospitals and clinics where people barely receive minimal care.

We are extending the challenge to those with a passion for evangelism to join with us. The harvest is before us, it is plentiful but the laborers are few. Please, lets join together to see a massive harvest and spark revival in the nations!
