Rick Joyner
Rick Joyner (visit site)
Rick Joyner heads MorningStar Ministries (also known as MorningStar Publications and Ministries), which he cofounded with his wife Julie Joyner in 1985. He is also the founder, executive director, and senior pastor of MorningStar Fellowship Church based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. He has five children: Anna, Aaryn, Amber, Ben, and Sam.
He also oversees MorningStar's School of Ministry, Fellowship of Ministries, and Fellowship of Churches. He edits "The MorningStar Journal" and "The MorningStar Prophetic Bulletin". The purpose of his ministry is the biblical mandate of Matthew 24:45-46 as well as a commitment to equip future leaders and work in relationship with current leaders to prepare and strengthen the church for the last days. This organization has several branches in North Carolina: Charlotte, Wilkesboro, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem.
Joyner is also a well-known author of more than thirty books, including his best-selling "The Final Quest" series published by Whitaker House. He is a highly sought-after speaker at international conferences. A number of his books are about the prophetic ministry in the modern church, including several books ("The Harvest", "The Final Quest") based on heavenly revelations he claims to have received himself, always stressing that no prophetic revelation can contradict scripture. Morningstar publishes a Prophetic Journal edited by Joyner quarterly, and his ministry is also known for their conferences and worship music.
Recently, MorningStar purchased part of the Heritage USA complex (originally established by Jim Bakker and PTL in Fort Mill, South Carolina), including the Heritage Grand Hotel, which is being refurbished as a conference center and ministry base. The complex has been renamed Heritage International Ministries or H.I.M.
Bill Johnson
Bill Johnson (visit site)
Bill and Beni Johnson are the Senior Pastors of Bethel Church. Bill is a fifth generation pastor with a rich heritage in the things of the Spirit. Together they serve a growing number of churches that have partnered for revival. This apostolic network has crossed denominational lines in building relationships that enable church leaders to walk in both purity and power.
The present move of God has brought Bill into a deeper understanding of the phrase, "on earth as it is in heaven." Heaven is the model for our life and ministry. Jesus lived with this principle by only doing what He saw His Father doing. Learning to recognize the Holy Spirit's presence, and how to follow His lead will enable us to do the works of Christ, destroying the works of the devil. Healing and deliverance must become the common expression of this gospel of power once again.
Bill and the Bethel Church family have taken on this theme for life and ministry. Healings, ranging from cancer to broken bones, to learning disorders and emotional healing, happen with regularity. This is the children's bread. And these works of God are not limited to revival meetings. The church is learning how to take this anointing to the schools, workplace, and neighborhoods with similar results. Bill teaches that we owe the world an encounter with God, and that a Gospel without power is not the Gospel that Jesus preached.
Beni has a call to intercession that is an integral part of the Bethel Church mission. She is in charge of the Bethel's Prayer House, ministry teams and the intercessors. The Lord has given her a heart for broken people of all ages. Her insight into strategies for prayer and her involvement in prayer networks have helped to bring the much-needed breakthrough in Bethel's ministry.
